Two more weeks until the prize drawing!!

Time's running out! I will probably only do one more reminder next week about the Holiday for the Troops project. The response so far has truly been overwhelming. How it works - you send either items to be sent to the troops or checks, money orders or gift cards to be used to shop for the troops, I then shop and put together shipments and send them out to servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. This link - http://lorifoster.com/author/militarytribute.htm - will take you to the Military Tribute page on Lori Foster's website where you will find a complete list of suggested items in the event you would like to do your own shopping for the troops. In return for your donation, your name will be entered in a raffle for some wonderful prizes. While I haven't decided on just how to put the prize packages together, the following list shows the incredible goodies that are being donated by various authors and others in the romance community:

Pretty amazing, huh? The drawing will be held and winners announced in the evening on October 31st (after my trick or treaters have stopped knocking, but no later than 9:00 p.m.) and I plan to mail the boxes during the second week of November to ensure delivery before the holidays. It is exciting every time we send shipments for the troops but the holiday boxes are especially fun to put together. If you are unable to send a donation of any kind, but would like to send cards, letters or drawings made by your children for inclusion in the boxes, they would be greatly appreciated! I am hopeful that if you have a blog you might mention this project and provide my information. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING POLITICAL ABOUT THIS PROJECT. It is simply a show of support for the men and women who serve our country. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks so much,
Laurie

Congratulations on a fabulous project, Laurie. Let's hope this one is the last one needed, and that everyone can come home very soon.

Love and prayers to everyone.
