WHOM GODS HAVE FAVORED, from Denyse Bridger - there's a giveaway!

Isn't this a gorgeous cover? All who know me know that I'm not the biggest vampire or paranormal fan, but the striking cover alone on this one is a mighty strong temptation, don't you think? Because Denyse is a dear friend, a brilliant storyteller, and I want everyone to know her name and appreciate her work, I'm going to do a giveaway for an ecopy here. I'd like you to check out Denyse's website (link below) and tell us something you see there - past releases, upcoming releases, favorite covers, etc. and then let's also talk about vampires, ok? Do you like them? Love them? Haven't read them? I'll draw the winning name on Monday, June 15. Denyse could not write a bad book if she tried and I strongly recommend that you check out her work - and then send your friends her way as well!

From Denyse:
This is an EROTIC/VAMPIRE historical..... it's set in Ancient Pompeii, mostly, and moves into modern time..... it contains a great deal of sexual content, and historical accuracy about the decadence of the Romans of that era. It was fascinating to write, and as you can see, the cover is a stunner..... I hope your curiosity will be piqued, and you'll consider adding this one to your collection - the reviews are amazing... and I think you'll find it a satisfying read!!! It's available in e-format or PRINT..... Links provided!!

WHOM GODS HAVE FAVORED
by Denyse Bridger
From Absolute XPress.....

Blurb:
Pompeii lies complacent and decadent in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, the populace thriving on their depravity and their hunger for blood and Games. Within the elite aristocracy, games of another type are being played, deadly secrets are a threat to more than status, and conspiracy is a way of life for those who are unhappy.
Lucius has long been exalted as a warrior without peer. Adored and covetted by men and women alike, he is blind to the plots that are thickening around him. While total control is his on the bloody fields of war, on the battlefield of the heart, as he is about to discover, even the strongest man can be deceived by his ignorance.
Watching over it all is the majesty of Vesuvius, sputtering smoke, promising retribution. In the midst of the looming destruction, an ancient evil emerges, and will claim not only a celebrated general of Rome, but the slave girl he has slowly grown to love and cherish. A girl who will follow him into hell itself?

I love vampire fiction, because there are NO rules. Just when you think there are some restrictions, someone else writes from a totally different perspective. There are as many vampire origins tales as there are writers, and I enjoy them all. Love denyse's work very much.

I love the cover for this one and for Blood Wine and Pale Roses. Vampires are my favorite paranormal character. In fact I have written a lot of poetry based on them. Their pain, torment and even the ones who revel in their undead life. That's wonderful of you to give her book a spotlight on your blog. Phylis

Hello, I love the website, and what I noticed was all the good .looking bookcovers! I am what you call a vampireaholic, I love them and their stories they have to share, who they love and who they must destroy! Whether it is m/m vampires or m/f vampire stories. I love them all!

Hi Laurie! :)
I love Denyse's writing! She can weave a tale that is so lyrical and entertaining, it makes you ache when the telling is through.

My favorite part of her website? Besides the beautiful Italian men that she knows and music she promotes, well, that would have to be the Coming Soon section! And that is because I have a biased opinion here, I am priviledged enough to be included in the anthology 'La Casa di Segreti'. This isn't the first time I have worked with Denyse, and I truly hope it isn't the last. :)

Wonderful blog post!

Hugs
C~

Stunning cover!

Denyse IS a truly gifted writer. I also have the great privilege to call her my friend. I love all her work - esp Bella Signorina, for reasons best left unsaid ;-)

As for vampires....they represent the darkest side which is present on each of us - ethically void, morally ambiguous, what's NOT to love about them?
You could quite easily give yourself over to your internal desires, without fear of reprisal, and blame it ALL on them and their Dastardly Hypnotic Powers....
Or is that just me then??
LOL!!

WOW - such wonderfully diverse insights and thoughts. You really know how to get people THINKING, Laurie - and I love it! This is great, and I hope while you guys were visiting the website you found something that appealed to whatever suits you best.... I love to write in so many genres, and each one of them is unique, special, and has a different voice to express....

Hugs and Blessings to all...

On Denyse's website I love all the free stories. She offers more than most authors. I also love the links to Riccardo Foresi.

Vamps rule. I just love any story that has vampires in it and especially misunderstood vamps.

Thanks for putting my name in the hat.

Wow, I hadn't explored Denyse's site very much before, and I'm amazed at how many different projects she's done and is doing--she's quite a Renaissance woman! I'm amazed she's written in so many different genres, from fantasy to westerns! And gracious, her SO's incredibly talented, too!

As for vamps, I've read a few now, but not too many--I started with a couple by Margaret Carter, and have enjoyed exploring a whole new world ;)

I have not read this book and did not realize until recently it was about Vampires. I enjoy reading about men with fangs and love that the same basic premise can go in so many different directions.
I think Denyse's website is well organized and easy to navigate. Her current books and her coming soon are identified and where I can browse. Congrats on the cover award.
