RAD booksigning today
In the pic - L to R - Barbara Smith, Judy Flohr, moi, Kaleen Cooper and Lori Foster. (My daughter Lindsay was with us and acted as photographer.)
Today was Reader Appreciate Day (RAD) at the Barnes & Noble in West Chester, Ohio. Lots of authors there - I hate to name names because I'm bound to forget someone, but relying on my sometimes feeble memory, there was Toni Blake/Lacey Alexander, Jenny Crusie, Gia Dawn, Lori Foster, Rosemary Laurey, Marcia James, LuAnn McLane, Donna MacMeans, Kay Stockham, Shiloh Walker, and about a half dozen others whose names either escape me or I don't know! It was a great time and a handful of us went to Panera Bread after for lunch. We sat around and chatted for a couple of hours and it was so nice to relax and spend time with these wonderful women. Some of us only see each other once a year so it was especially sweet. Shiloh Walker joined us for lunch but left before I thought to get the camera out. She doesn't like her photo taken so it's just as well!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Laurie

It was so much fun. I needed a ME day. It was great seeing you again. I am still upset over missing out on Susan Crandall's arc. but I at least got a hug from her. LOL It was a fun and relaxing lunch.
Sounds like a lot of fun! Wish I could have come but I had a date to visit with our new granddaughter.
:::waving::: to all the attendees. It sounds like a fabulous time. Glad you all got to enjoy a day out and get a pick-me-up from the winter blahs.
I'm so bummed that I missed it, but I'm glad you had such a fun time.
big hugs, Chris S.
Glad you had a great day! I'm looking forward to seeing you all in June.
Sounds like you guys had a blast! I wish I didn't live so far away:( And mmmm, Panera sounds yummy!
Hey laurie--
Yes it was really great seeing everyone. I don't hate the picture....lol. I'm like Shi and I hate to have my picture taken.
Who got Susan's ARC? Guess that's what I get for arriving a bit late. I am looking forward to Pitch Black. It's one of the many June releases.
I don't know who got it but she was right in front of me in getting a prize. Darn it
I don't know who got the arc, Barb, but Judy was ready to take her arm off for it!
I wish everyone could have been there, it was such a great time. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in June!
Deb, you had the best reason of all not to make it! I'm so excited about your new granddaughter!
How lovely. Maybe I'll go next year. February weather is always so unpredictable, though.
ya know, I heard that rumor about Shiloh.
